I think that the reasons for my harsh statements should be clear by now. It has nothing to do with ahhaha's investment strategy. Like ahhaha appears to get annoyed by the ignorant and lazy masses and therefore belittles them with his responses, I too get annoyed by certain behaviors and respond in a way that I deem appropriate.

The reason you trade is because you seek to avoid risk, but in order to get the greatest returns you have to engage it.

The reason I trade is to make money and because I enjoy it. If I was truly trying to avoid risk, I would be in cash. The vast majority of my gains in the market were through a buy and hold strategy, so the concept is not lost on me. But it was a buy and hold strategy during a bull market.

Obviously capital preservation has to be a key part of strategy. And for the most part, I have a pretty good loss management strategy. But I fail to see how going long on tech in April (for long term) is going to enable capital preservation.

proper assessment of risk/reward.

This is a very key statement. In fact, I think that what I am doing by not going long on tech yet, *is* properly assessing the risk/reward.

One of the things that I have learned, is that even if I love a company and its products, it is folly to ignore the general market trend.
