That $300 went right into my pocket where it should have been in the first place. All governments are inherently bad...you just hope & fight to keep the damage to a minimum. This country was created out of revolt to tyranny/taxation and the installed government was originally designed to be as limited as possible. It's done nothing but steadily grow into a monster. What we pay in Federal income tax is absolutely despicable, especially when you add to it state, vehicle, user, gas, property, sales, etc., etc. Governmental bureaucrats and their agencies is nothing more than a colossal collection of overpaid, under worked, unmotivated, under supervised, power hungry despots, fools, and officious idiots.
