I would add that religious influences cannot be separated from the consciousness of all people, even the most "devout" secularists. This is especially so with respect to moral precepts. Religion so pervades the entire written and handed-down record of the human race that it is deeply entrenched in everyone's thinking, whether subconsciously or otherwise. Thus, while some may believe that there are moral codes which have been devised by purely rational thought, such codes inevitably reflect the teachings of religion, such as the Ten Commandments.
