I see from the news item that it was a problem in the Missouri Synod We talked about that incident. It was probably while you were away moving. It got quite a lot of attention in the media, so I suppose it must be somewhat unusual. Still, it happened and it was a travesty, IMO. Would you clarify for me, please, whom you're talking about when you refer to the benign subset of religionists? Would that follow the liberal vs. fundamentalist or evangelical split or is that something different? I'm not sure of what you mean by "mainstream" except as distinguished from cults. I doubt that all mainstream Christian sects are benign.
