"Intel expects to have three 300 mm wafer fabs using the 90 nm process by 2003. One of the first commercial chips to be made on Intel's process will be the processor codenamed Prescott, which is based on the Intel® NetBurst(TM) micro-architecture and will be introduced in second half of 2003."

Intel's .09u process may be qualified "by 2003", but it looks like the first chips to be fabbed on it are still set for the second half of next year. That is, unless, Intel has earlier chip designs to fab at that manufacturing level, but I kind of doubt that.
