It would be interesting to know how much longer properties are taking to sell now vs. a year ago - 20%? 30% 50%?

The phenomenon I noted in my earlier post is primarily WRT mid-level houses in the $250,000 to $450,000 range. It's my understanding that the $500,000+ houses are moving even more slowly.

I have a relative who lives in Beverly Hills (the run down part LOL). That link you posted showed at least four houses within a block of them are on the market. The prices were a bit lower than I would have expected.
