And if the danger of Hussein is so imminent, why is Bush on vacation instead of providing evidence to sustain our national security? There's a good point, although it's kind of traditional, as he ostensibly ignored the urgency of lending credence to the notion of impending terrorist attacks during his last year's monthlong vacation. IMO

I believe ALL Presidents have taken the month of August for a working vacation. And how do we know what his entire schedule is? Do you really think he is only clearing brush or golfing or fundraising? It would be fun to compare the past 10 Presidents schedules in August...but no time to do that now.

Seriously, communications today are completely different than they were 20 years ago, and even 10 years ago. The folks here on SI certainly are testament to that. One can be in touch with the world from wherever we are.

Also, Congress is scattered all over the US by now also. They are our elected representatives as well. If the President should be in one place, then of course, the House and Senate members should be in that same place "providing evidence to sustain our national security"....

Also, could you send any info and/or links you have on this (TIA):

And as we learned after, a PR firm manufactured stories about the hospital babies to build that war fever.
