if the USdollar declines heavily, then inflation will arrive
if not in the entire economy, then in every conceivable category of commodities
the great majority of commodities are produced outside USA

remember that a large piece of our economy is based upon exported components and products
many marginal Asian exporting nations dont have the manipulative ability to defend their currencies, as Weldon pointed out, and have seen a 10-15% appreciation versus the US$
this translates into much higher import prices to US markets
in June the figure was +5% on import price changes

we can have diverse deflation at the same time
but in goods & services, which were overproduced
eventually in the USA particularly, import effects with a declining dollar will result in inflation across the board
because costs will rise
material costs, energy costs

the growing trade gap and growing federal deficits gaurantee further substantial dollar declines
and that doesnt even address the potential for foreigners selling USTBonds, which would raise our rates nationwide, and add to the cost of everything debt-related

why does nobody seem to understand that goods can go down in price for a period of time, while commodities rise in price during that same period of time ???
I have talked about this concept in over 30 posted messages

think electric bills, gasoline, heating costs, food costs
these are commodities, whose price is rising in trend now

isnt it conceivable that these costs rise while a PC, a telecom PBX switch, a cellphone, longdistance phone, an automobile all come down in price ???

then you have the OTHERS, which are seeing a rise in cost, like insurance of all types, and taxes (esp property)

separate the whole economy into debt-driven and cash-driven
that is Puplava's message

ALL PRODUCTS DONT GO DOWN IN PRICE DURING DEFLATION
this aint black & white
why try so hard to make it so?
DEFLATION? sure, but deflation in price of what?
everything? not a chance in hell
