So why not show a little cleverness?

He went to Wall Street to deliver one of his speeches during market hours. Say what you will, his aides thought the market would go up and he would look strong and powerful.

Today's conference on the same day as the Fed says the economy is weaker than Bush says it is?

That's just bad management, which can only undermine his effectiveness and credibility on economic issues.

Wouldn't you agree?
