applied had better than expected numbers tonight, GST. The applied rpt is a mirror of the cisco situation... demand clearly down but profitability up. For amat the demand is better than cisco, admittedly. Also my comm sector stocks are up AH I'm not sure whats up there... maybe the Bush tax incentive for broadband? Unless we really see some weakness, meaning numbers worse than expectations a collapse is hard to justify. And a bunch of stocks like brcm which should be going down are actually going up. So go figure. L
