What company? There is no company. I don't think you understand what this is about.

The 10,000$ is very real. In order to have the same functionality, you need Adobe Premiere, Adobe Acrobat Exchange, Adobe PhotoShop, Microsoft Office with Visio, PC Anywhere, Omnipage, you'll need Microsoft SQL Server, and you'll need a lot of small utilities like Winzip and Nero CD Burner. Many utilities and features found in Linux that the average user might actually find very useful, I even don't know if they exist on Windows.

The local street price for a localized Adobe Acrobat Exchange alone is 390$. Microsoft Office is 890$, Visio 660$, Project 830$. Photoshop is 1360$, Premiere $980 etc. If you don't buy all these, a computer with free software can give you more functionality, and these applications do not cover all the areas that my Linux covers.
