August, Search index should be updated. Haven't forgotten about the word being highlighted red. We tried to do this with advanced search when that feature was tested. We're not planning on making this change in the short-term. I know you've been asking for awhile, though, and some others have mentioned this to me in the past. Please follow-up early next week (not Sunday :o), and I'll see what I can do. John

August, OK, I've done some digging... I think this feature was originally disabled because we don't take the snippet surrounding the word being searched for, but instead we display the first 200 or so characters of the post (so you don't see the search term in all of the results). Also, it occurred to me... Was this intended to be a feature on the search results page, or when someone clicks on a result to view the message (on the message page)? I should note we're not planning on making changes to the search capabilities in the near future... but this does make sense when we do. John
