Andy, I see that you identify with Saddam, and find that his actions are not only rational, but the only acceptable actions. Maybe you would do things as Saddam would, but I would not.

Are you telling me that he had no other choice, but to invade Iran?

Are you telling me that there was "no other way" but to invade Kuwait?

Are you telling me, when the most powerful nation in the world tells you to leave Kuwait, you couldn't have just declared victory and gone home? That there was no other way, but to stay in Kuwait and fight the U.S.?

You know, other dictators have taken power by force, and then yielded power to civilian authority. Are you trying to tell me that Saddam is more rational than the military dictators that earlier ruled Korea, Greece, Chile, or Argentina?
