Tom. In an article I posted was this statement...." Exactly what was the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Arab world in general seeking to "liberate" between 1948 and 1967, when Gaza was held illegally by Egypt and Judea/Samaria (West Bank) by Jordan? "....

And from the above statement you came up with this question...." That's a very insightful question. In your opinion, what was Egypt trying to "liberate" in 1956, when Israel invaded Egypt and took the Sinai Peninsula and the Suez Canal?"....

Well first of all the original statement said what was the palestine liberation organization and arabs trying to liberate. It did not say Egypt was trying to liberate anything. so I can't see how you come up with that kind of a question. The statement said it was Egypt and Jordan that were were holding land illegally.

But to try to give an opinion to your question I would have to say that I have never heard of a muslim controlled country trying to liberate anyone or anything. They just invade and put a stop to any freedoms of any kind. Liberation never enters the mind of muslim. Control and submission is what their entire world is made of and those who do not comply will be executed.
