I lasted about ten minutes and I have generally been known to have the ability to stare at breasts for much longer periods of time.....<G>

I'll bet you skip the reptile house at the zoo, then.

Actually, there's an interesting (mildly) question raised by the show.

Is she for real?

Clearly she's nuts, and dysfunctional, and on something, and it's horrifying that a child has been in her custody for his whole life, but...

Is she just dysfunctional and bizarre, ie a sick person, or is she also

don't laugh

insincere.

You know what I mean?

The thing is, if she's not sincere in her delusions and fantasies, then she's a truly great actress. She could do Shakespeare, she could do anything on the stage.

There is no tongue-in-cheek evident on that show.

Which is what is interesting, imo.

Another way of putting the question is, Is she just some version of genuinely psychotic, or is she a calculating, aware person with free will and no morals?

I know the categories blend and shade into each other. But she's unusual. She isn't acting like, say, a cunning stripper who's found a good gig. She's acting like an eight year old girl who woke up one day with adult appetites. A sincere eight year old girl.

It's very odd.

Edit: OMD, Laz, what do you think? Or am I the only one who's seen the show? JLA only managed ten minutes of it!
