It sounds like the U.S. is preparing to attack Iraq regardless of what the world thinks. I just saw on ABC News tonight that the U.S. is currently making military preparations in countries around Iraq. Makes me think the Repubs will try to attack a week before the November elections, in the hopes of boosting their fortunes at the polls.

Everyone should get a copy of the August 12 Special Report from Time magazine...The Secret History. If I were Shrub, I would burn every copy of this most informative and detailed history of 9-11, because if copies of this report falls into the hands of one family member that lost a loved one in 9-11, they should file a lawsuit against Shrub and his band of do nothings and charge them with treason against the American people. It is unbelievable how they dropped the ball and knew that something was up with alQueda....for 9 long months before it happpened. Sandy Berger set up 10 (let me repeat..10) meetings with Bush's team to bring them up to speed on the terrorist issue. Berger point blank told C. Rice..."I believe that the Bush administration will spend more time on terrorism generally, and on al-Qaeda specifically, than any other subject". Richard Clarke in making the Powerpoint presentation to C. Rice had Slide 14 that read.."Response to al Qaeda:Roll Back. Clarke's preposals called for the "breakup" of al-Qaeda cells and the ARREST of their personnel. The financial support for its terrorists activities would be systematically attacked, its assets frozen , its funding from fake charities stopped. Nations where al-Qaeda was causing trouble..Uzbekistan, The Phillipines, Yemen,..would be given aid to fight the terrorists. MOST of all, Clarke wanted to see a dramatic increase in covert action in Afganistan to "eleminate the sanctuary" where al-Qaeda had its terrorist training camps and bin Laden was being protected by the radical Islamic Taliban regime..............................................................................In the words of a senior BUSH ADMINISTRATION official the proposal amounted to "everything we've done since 9/11." It is absolutely chilling to read this article and to think that George Bush is admired by one American, when he has totally ignored the information and warnings and given a plan of action.....Don't forget...BUSH and ASHCROFT REFUSED funding for terrorists defense...but instead made his main objective to get a tax cut for his rich cronies. Now Bush's cronies want to deny the plan...but even his own administration members are admitting that it is true..Clinton gave them the very plan that he is now taking credit for being such a staunch protector of citizens of this country. Another example...A Northern Alliance leader Ahmed Shah Massoud outside the European Parliament, APRIL, 2001...said.."If President Bush doesn't help us, these terrorists will damage the US and Europe very soon." August 6, 2001..."Tenet briefs Bush in Crawford, Texas, with an analytic report on al-Qaeda. It is based on OLD intelligence but raises HIJACKING as a POSSIBLE threat while also citing other methods. Tenet meets with a group of Senators a few days later and provides them with a similar report." Here we have a President that refuses funding to fight terrorism and he therefore is getting OLD intelligence reports only weeks before the worst disaster to hit OUR homeland. I'm sick of writing more from this article...August 12, Time magazine.
