Justa, does this look anything like what we could call a melt up?

Sure seems that way. Don't know if technical resistance levels will mean anything if a melt up is indeed what is happening.
Those very very low yields on bonds could be the reason and maybe the fact that we have been bombarded with so much negative tech news...creates the possibility that any pickup in tech demand (consumer or corporate) will be seen as a recovery just like late last year.
For example any consumer pick up of PC sales (back to school season) will get a very bullish spin on wall street and maybe traders are buying up ahead of this.

..or can this all be explained as options expiration related?
