David, <So you think that 8 years of one string of lies after another has no effect?>

The moral foundations of this nation started eroding well before Clinton took office. Clinton was definitely a man of the times. He was hardly a leader, for good or for bad, but Americans weren't really looking for one, either. All that was expected of Clinton was a good show and some handouts.

This has been my main complaint with Clinton -- that he set a really, really bad example for people. It may be subtle, but I firmly believe that people lead by example. When the leader is a liar, you will see an entire class of liars develop. Perhaps I'm wrong; but there are entire cultures where lying is acceptable, even respected, behavior.

Does that mean we are all going to become cheerleaders now that Bush is in office?
