BEAS--BEA Systems shares (BEAS: news, chart, profile) initially dipped after the business software firm said it saw profits fall 15 percent to $20.2 million in its second quarter. BEA reported a pro forma profit of $25.9 million, or 6 cents a share, in line with analysts' expectations. The company said quarterly sales fell 16 percent to $225.9 million, which is in line with the consensus sales forecast. The stock has since rebounded nicely.
