Terry, don't forget that your monitor generates positive ions which have been linked to seasonal affect disorder and other health problems. Go sit under a waterfall, in a pine forest, or on the beach to get your share of negative ions. Should help cool you down too.

Terry >Boy is it hot here! Turn down the air conditioner honey.

If the going gets too tough call on Darleen --- I understand she has a lot of bottled water in her fridge.

Anyway, and jokes aside, it is hot. In fact, hotter than body heat. I don't like it above 30C and I note Washington is 40C --- not talking about Baghdad, 48C. If temperatures like that persist people will die, especially the old and frail.

And, of course, airconditioning does not solve the problem. All it does is put that bit of heat, which should fall on one person, on to someone else. It's just like putting one's sewage into the water reservoir --- and hoping one doesn't have to drink that water.

Terry >If the oil is helping us to print money, the cost of the oil will not matter.

Looks like exactly what's happening --- the oil price is on its way up. In fact, a strong technical "break out" over the past few days indicating that prices could soon be a lot higher.

Now, if only we could get our hands on Saddam's wells before that darn price gets too high ...............

.....or maybe, even better, when it is.
