First, Europeans have not been shirking their responsibilities, as you suggest. Second, they're not relying on our aid, as you suggest. Have you ever even BEEN to Europe? You don't seem very well informed about it.

We need to suck up the "child" part of our ego and be a bit more of the level headed "adult". Picking up our toys and stomping our way home will get us nowhere. No man or country is an island and we cannot accomplish everything alone.

We helped greatly in WWII but many Europeans lost their lives also......the lives of many AMericans were saved by the peoples of those countries who risked their lives under occupation to save our countrymen. We all did it together and need to continue working together.

Isn't the job of a manager supposed to be to solve problems and make all the employees work together? The manager's job is not to cause increased friction between parties and to create more problems. Our leaders need to be better managers of this world if we are to successfully lead it into the next century.

Spoiled kids need to go home with their toys and let someone else lead the world into communion among nations.
Without it we will self-destruct. We're beginning to see the signs already.
