A sense of humor and a personality solve many problems. I disagreed with nearly all of Ronald Reagan's politics, but his sense of humor made me like the guy more than I should have. I remember when he was running in the primaries and I walked to the store with my Mother and Grandmother. There was a bunch of people, a dais and lot of hoopla in a park on the way, and Grandma, never one to mince words, said "what the Hell's this all about?" Reagan was standing next to her and said, "I think it's for me." I couldn't help laughing and even Grannie laughed, and she considered all Republicans as being lower than Hyena spittle.
