SB, I just sold an apartment building for $3.4 million.
My cost was $947,000 2 years ago.
There is no inflation.

Consumer inflation in San Diego County eased in the first half of the year to an annual rate of 2.9 percent, the Labor Department reported yesterday.

That was the mildest local inflation since 1998, as gasoline and other fuel got less expensive while the soft national economy held back prices of clothing and household goods.

But the 2.9 percent rate was still higher than the most recent inflation rate in any of the 25 other metropolitan areas for which the Labor Department compiles data.

The cost of owning or renting a home in San Diego County rose 6.4 percent from a year earlier, the largest increase anywhere in the country except the Boston area.<<
