Well, I am am in full support of open democratic government. Lets not try and pull the wool over each others eyes on that point.

Vietnam is a good example. I believe it wants to keep good relations with the USA these days. It also wishes to successfully compete in the international scene with trade etc. I'm sure they have their eyes and ears open to ways of doing that. Sooner or later they will realize communism is not the way to go.

Realistically speaking. I think the sacrifices made by the USA troops in Vietnam started to bear fruit after the official war ended. They did there best, failed (supposedly) now it's up to the indigenous population to break the bonds from totalitarian government. I think the general population knows there is a least one other country interested in open free democratic government rather then communism.
