When did Intel reveal the use of strained silicon? To my knowledge, this announcement was the first.

Besides, even if this release was just a rehash, how is that evidence that Intel is running scared of Hammer? To those with an AMD-centric view of the world, Intel can't say anything without being seen as "worried over Hammer."

It's kind of like your view of Bush, or David's view of Clinton. Sometimes you just have to take things at face value and leave it at that.
