denny> Charles Schwab has assigned an equity rank
of B (on scale of A to F) for SGI based on 'superior fundamentals'.Anyone know what those superior fundamentals might be?

The stocks will be ranked, with the top 10% earning A's, the bottom 10% warranting F's and the middle 40% representing a solid C. 'A' rated stocks are expected to strongly outperform the market over the next 12 months, while 'F' rated stocks are likely to greatly underperform the market.

A-rated stocks are expected to outperform the market over the next 12 months, while F-rated stocks are expected to underperform. Its ranking methodology gives the top 10 percent an A rating, the next 20 percent a B, the next 40 percent a C, the next 20 percent a D, and the bottom 10 percent an F. “You have a much more balanced collection of buys and sells,” says the spokesman

Back in August I questioned the appropriateness of Schwab assigning this stock a rank of "B". Several weeks ago they raised it to "A". After much effort, through intermediaries (also at Schwab) I was able to confirm that in their opinion this rank is appropriate, consistent with their valuation system, and based on up to date info. Although tight-lipped about details of their model they did mention that diminishing loss projections and cash flow analysis played some role.
