"""rich:
Unemployment has leveled off
deficits are a consequence of wars
Afgan war was provoked by a vicious attack on our citizens
The Arab /Israeli/ Palestine conflict has been going on in one for or another for over 5,000 years
There were also massive layoffs during the Clinton years as one sector or another shakes out ...telecom and tech is hit hard now but it was overinflated and bound to contract
Corporate crooks have not been sanctioned. There is a pending investigaiton by the SEC. Under our Constitution parties are innocent until proven guilty. """

Hopefully unemployment is leveling off.......
The deficits are the result of the need for WAR and fiscal mismanagement.......
We contained the middle east for sometime, this admin throws logs on the fire by taking sides...
When Bush goes after Lay and Co, until then he is sanctioning corporate crooks of which he was one at Harken
All in all you made a good post, it is a start!

Re: "Corporate crooks have not been sanctioned. There is a pending investigation by the SEC. Under our Constitution parties are innocent until proven guilty."

You and the other right-wing-pro-big-biz extremists constantly miss the boat on this singular point:

The obscenity of the GOP-big-biz scandal does not lie in the illegalities, but rather in the legalities.

What's troublesome ... and ultimately cost shareholders billions of dollars ... is what the corporate crooks did within the confines of the law ... as interpreted by similarly crooked lawyers and accountants.
