The 388K level of jobless claims in the week of Aug. 10 was above the 380K consensus, but this figure has been holding in the sub-400K for the last few months, and any figure in this range is consistent with a steady job market

I agree with rich. That said i posted recently that the markets are due for an explosive rally. The reason it got so low was it needed to discount W's presidency.
