Yeah, and then there's the whole "Moral Equivalent of the Founding Fathers" thing. You'd think maybe the neocons that came up with that one would be a little circumspect about rhetorical levels now that they've reversed sides and all, but that would be an incorrect thought.

Why did Casper Weinberger need a pardon from George Bush?

Not for violation of the Boland Amendment. His crime was the traditional Washington crime, cover-up.
