Gary: The bond market is about finished with its bull phase. Institutions now need to rebalance from bonds to stocks -- and of course they do that by selling bonds and buying stock. This is good if you own stock. However, when they have finished rebalancing, and that could be a matter of a few weeks, prices will fall if the economy is still weak. In other words, your buying opportunity today is likely to be a bear market rally, where many people ride it for a little while and then sell hard into it when they think it has run its course. A toe, a foot, a leg -- every person makes their own decisions. Good luck to you -- even if you don't want to be in the life-raft itself, you might still want to hang on to your life preserver just a little while longer :)
