Oh. OK. Well, by the time Zimbabwe has nukes, we'll have much better technology to detect them and defend against them. Maybe better technology to prevent Zimbabwe from being able to produce them in the first place too.

And much better weapons of our own. In addition to that better defense.

Don't lose too much sleep worrying about Zimbabwe.

You're so prescient that can say otherwise? You can see a totally unexpected right-angle turn in technological history? Because that's what your theory requires. Mine goes right down the main line.

Depression-era technology? Um, I guess that must include radar, sonar, and computers too. Most of the modern world.

Junior's answer to this certain event is to make the U.S. the target of these weapons.
Dear Commissar, GWB's answer is to see that Iraq can't produce the very weapons you are losing sleep over. Got it?

Sure the U.S. may have smarter bombs or hunter killer robots, but we will still have to contend with a wider range of countries determined that the U.S. is no longer fit to lead the world. In another generation these countries will only have to be a century behind the times to develop nukes.
We Americans don't cower well. Most of us anyway. If you want that. you'll have to find another country.
