I'll stop, though I disagree with you. Didn't realize you were being offended. I certainly don't presume to have all the answers, it's why I try not to confect dots unless they're the size of elephants.

Your conclusion is correct.
I once again draw attention to the genius of W's Mandarins in controlling the news cycle.
No talk about Israel, Palestine, elections. patient privacy, Enron, hearings on 9/11, etc.

In fact, now that I think about it, this is his October surprise. He's going to announce a diplomatic breakthrough and take credit for avoiding a wa!
He's got a lot of old smart guys playing this out for him.

Just like when he was screaming about getting thrown into the tar pit about making Homeland Security a cabinet post
Or Corporate governance.
They time it right and than take the credit for it.
