Retired, the universe is an inflationary thing and so is the money. Inches now are not the same length as inches then and money now will shrink while you hold it in your hot little hand and you won't notice anything until you go to swap it for something else.

So yes, the dollars will still be there - but you'll need a bucket of them to get somebody to work for an hour.

I suppose you mean that deflation will make the dollars worth more than now. Don't depend on that because the people who control the printing presses are not planning to allow that to happen. Since the money managers control the levers and the holders of the money don't, guess who is more likely to be right.

Mqurice
