Dipy,

Try telling it to this guy!
biz.yahoo.com
If you look at the economic news that's coming out, it's not all that awful," said Stephen Massocca, head of trading for San Francisco-based investment bank Pacific Growth Equities. "It's simply a slowdown, and I think the market recognizes that."

I wished I really knew what this guy's definition of awful" is that he declares the economic news coming out are NOT that "awful"! Yes, I suppose people still can afford paying their groceries, so I guess things are really not that "awful"! :)

Interesting reversals, Dipy. A few months ago, when it looked like fundamentals were turning up, you were saying fundamentals don't matter, implying the market was in such bad technical shape that it would just keep going down (remember your overhead resistance theory?). Now that the market is taking a technical bounce, you poo-poo it as based on no fundamental support. So do fundamentals matter after all? And now you're troubled by the apparent lack of overhead resistance! The same overhead resistance that you used to see as making the recovery impossible you're now suggesting is a necessary bull-market wall of worry to climb.
