Another indicator that I have posted a number of times in the past is the VIX buy/sell signals based on Bollinger Bands. When the Bands are in "normal" ranges and moving sideways, touches of the bands tend to give very reliable buy/sell signals. While the bands are pretty stretched right now, due to the extreme readings over the past month, we do appear to have a Sell Signal tonight: stockcharts.com[l,a]dacannay[dc][pd20,1.75]&pref=G (Note the last Buy signal on the 3rd trading day of August. That was the day of THE bottom on the NDX.)
