This from a man who was there and was upset that Bush Sr stopped him at the border.

Al, according to Ray, Bush Sr. didn't go after Saddam because no one told him to and he was afraid people would yell if he did. I think its pretty understandable.

Schwarzkof on Iraq tonight on Hardball
US not ready
Need larger Arab countries to support attack, provide ports, landing, etc...
No Coalition...world not aligned with US
Iraq an ethnically divided country..what do we do after war is over?
Small force will be difficult to deploy...could not find Saddam during Desert Storm, will not be able to find him now
Will likely have to fight in the cities...casualties heavy on both sides. Most likely civilians.
Saddam will attack Israel who will retialiate...

I watched this program. There was no statement that "US is Not Ready". There was no statement that we "need Arab countries..." (he said they would make it EASIER, but that we would have overwhelming force either way. He made no statement about a "coalition".

Are you sure you watched this program?
