We've just had 8+ hours of some of the most violent thunderstorms I can remember. Almost constant lightning and now that's it's past the thunder is a constant rumble like a jet circling overhead. 3+" of rain on top of the 1" earlier this week.

Just went over 4" for today. Not bad for "scattered showers". The front didn't stall, it parked. 20 miles north and south of me had a trace at most.
