Diebutfeif: I don't know if you recall the humor that flowed around Franklin D. prior to Pearl Harbor but it went this way: "I hate war. Eleanor hates war. I love peace and Eleanor loves peace too, but Hitler says he loves peace also - a peace of Czechoslovakia, a peace of Austria and a peace of Poland. Some other comic came up with a piece about F.D.Rs request for more and more money. It went like: FDR wants more money to ensure the peace. If he keeps this up, we soon won't have a pot to peace in. (I think that was old Edgar Kennedy at the Orpheum stage in San Francisco) There must be something funny going on out there? Or is everybody just pissed off? I went to an all nude topless bottomless show of lovely young women for the first time in my life and they all looked so happy that I refrained from telling them, "Get real", that we were going to war (when they came off the stage to hustle the audience right up close). Angler
