Just popping in for a moment---

I will yield to you on your explication of your point.

As far as I am concerned, the line is just as bright between reasonable piety and fundamentalism, and I have been harsher with Chrisland than almost anyone. I have said several times that I consider fundamentalists and atheists to be equally misguided. I am not sure what more you want of me.

I do have a soft spot for people emerging from traditional cultures and trying to hang on to what is essential while adapting otherwise. I feel that aggression against what is sacred to them is a recipe for disaster, and that one must demonstrate respect for their beliefs, generally, or they will not listen. I also consider the fear of the religious right to be overblown, and therefore I am willing to ally with it up to a point......
