long-gone >there are forests in the US

Sure, a short while ago we discussed the fires because of the bad policy of not cutting firebreaks, removing dead trees etc.

Global warming is an enormous problem, however and by whoever it's caused. It effects all of us wherever we are.

As a point of interest, Joburg is one of the cities in the world with the most trees. Over the past few years, with all the rain and the increase in temperature, the climate has changed from temperate to sub-tropical. This has caused the trees and plants etc to grow in greater profusion. As result of this, there are more pollens and molds than ever before and most people are now walking around with allergies, colds and 'flu most of the time. Furthermore, the hot moist climate favors the growth of fungi on the skin and in the nose etc so a whole bunch of "new" conditions have appeared from those.

One just can't win.
