dood i soooo hope you are kidding. Jeter had one pretty good year (1999) and he's hit materially worse every year since then. his .797 OPS year-to-date puts him behind all of ARod, Nomar, Tejada and Vizquel, as well as Renteria and Jose Hernandez in the NL. and there is not one shread of credible statistical evidence that he is even average at fielding his position; i would argue he is one of the worst fielding every-day shortstops in baseball.

aside from anecdotes and New York blustering, offer up a single fact that demonstrates Jeter is better than Nomar (hell, how about better than ANY of the shortstops listed above).
