CRAWFORD, Texas (Reuters) - President Bush ( news - web sites) on Friday defended his Iraq policy from criticism within his own Republican Party, saying he would consult with others but make decisions based on the "latest intelligence."

Is he talking about his intelligence?
I hope he is studying.

He reminds me of some people I worked with who could tell me every they knew in the order they learned it.

I'm not at all certain what bothers you, Nadine. We both know there's no reason for a story on Bush's critics to include long quotes from Bush. That's not the point of the story. And, of course, Bush gets more than enough print space and air time.

Would you insist that each time the NYTimes publishes a story on Rumsfeld's plans for this or that that they must include an equal amount of information from his critics. I don't think so?

So far as I can tell, no critic was misportrayed.

I genuinely don't get your concern.
