btw have not found any Bavarian version (yet;), just a straight german out of "Pennsylvanischer Staatsbote" of July 5, 1776:

In fact, the reverse (slavery) was enshrined in the original document. Article I, Section 9 forbade Congress to forbid the slave trade (or as written, "the Migration or Importation of such Persons as any of the States now existing shall think proper to admit"). This was in effect for the first twenty years.

In addition Article IV, Section 2 made the citizens of the "free" states complicit in the crime by obliging them to return any runaway "Person held to Service or Labour in one State" to "the Party to whom such Service or Labour may be due".
