Freep, kudos on your research there! I used to do stuff like that, but you do it much better than I ever did.

BTW, I did a study last fall on put/call readings under 0.60 (combined) and they usually marked a top and were followed by a 8-10% correction down.

thanks for extensive research on the p/c.

however, could this be just simply lots of cheapie gamble going in on tue/wed and then cashing out thur and today ?

after all, one can bought qqq aug 23c for 0.25 - 0.35 and cashed it out at 1.75. and many semi stocks in similar fashion. as volatility has gone down a lot, many slightly out of money options were very cheap (below 0.50) on tue/wed and they all went in the money late wed and thur, and a lot more in the money today.

i think the only way to really tell is to check open interest monday on sept option on stuff like qqq etc

i tend to think the high reading this past 2 days do not carry as much weigh as the jan one as jan was after a long uptrend.

>>I have no conclusions from this.<<

Damn, just noticed the header says 'Clown free Zone'. So the importance of the intersect of the equity only reading with the anniversaries of bloated, drug-swilling pop idol deaths in the prediction of asteroid-inspired tsunamis in New Jersey can't be commented on.

However, on a more serious note, I can reduce the conclusions to one forward market projection:

It appears the market will go up some and down some, not necessarily in that order.

(Sorry. Actually, your research does help confirm my analysis of other measures, which indicate a strong possibility of a significant pullback to begin no later than Thursday. Thanks for doing it.)
