Yes, yes, good points about law by committee. But, quickly, one BIG point:

Isn't the committee guided by, and bound by, an authority greater than itself?

Namely: The United States Constitution.

Isn't this the inviolate, etched in stone, never to be disregarded ultimate source of the law?

Isn't the Constitution the ultimate, unbending Law Authority?

Isn' t the Constitution analogous to the commandments of God?
