Is the question of whether Saddam has weaponized chemical and biological weapons and is very close to developeing nuclear weapons a subject for debate? The administration, which runs the intelligence organizations, says yes. No doubt that material will be, or has been, furnished to the appropriate members of Congress.

I believe you will have to accept this at face value, but you will get to argue that you don't think it's enough.

Hitler comparison is apt because we know the history so well. No, Saddam doesn't have a Wehrmacht, he won't invade Poland and France using Blitzkreig. But he funds terrorists groups, and harbors them. Terrorism is a growing threat. It gets stronger all the time. It gets more daring all the time. We are its avowed enemy, and it must destroy us before we destroy it.

Sitting in New Jersey, I hope you realize that you are very close to being a target -- or maybe you're in South Jersey. Maybe you think you're safe. Maybe you don't care what happens to anyone else, or maybe you believe it won't happen again.

I take the arguments seriously. The answer to the questions you ask is that the American people are willing to make the sacrifices to destroy terrorism before it destroys us.

I could make the argument that Saddam is evil, but that's irrelevant. The real argument is that terrorism is a real threat that must be countered as quickly as possible. Time is not on our side.
