ACF, have they thought of putting armed Marshalls in school rooms? Have somebody with a pistol at the ready, at the back of each classroom, to stop any mass murdering.

That would expand the Homeland Security programme greatly and reduce unemployment. Total deaths would probably go up - guns seem to have a habit of going off once they are loaded and in somebody's possession with other people around. There are bound to be some misunderstandings or outright angry confrontations leading to firing. Give authoritarian people a gun and some of them are going to be just itching to really use it on somebody who has it coming to him [or her].

"<Hey, it wasn't MY fault. I thought he was going for a gun when that punk, who'd been giving me lip last week coz he wouldn't do what I said, reached into his school bag to get his calculator out. It's Uncle Sam's fault for giving me Irrational Exuberance about keeping the pupils safe.

They said not to get Irrationally Exuberant about using the gun, so I figured that meant to let them have it if they stepped out of line. They shouldn't use such big words and if they give us bullets, of course we have to shoot them.

That's right Zomby. It wasn't your fault.
