Thanks. I believe that makes three separate buys of 30,000, 5,000 and 3,000 shares. I will try to verify the names on the 5K and 3K lots since in the original academic study done back in the sixties it was the number of separate buys done not the dollar amount that was significant.

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 20, 2003--The Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) today announced the appointment of John Daane, Chairman-elect, President and CEO of Altera Corporation (Nasdaq:ALTR - News) to its board of directors. Daane joins other semiconductor industry leaders in the drive to advance the growth and competitiveness of the $71 billion U.S. chip industry.

John Daane joined Altera as president and CEO in November of 2000 and was elected earlier this month to be chairman of Altera's board of directors. Prior to joining Altera, Daane spent 15 years at LSI Logic Corporation where he was executive vice president of the Communications Products Group.
