sandeep,

the days of revenue and eps linearity are over. most companies have some good quarter and some medium but it is the long term trend that counts. for the long term investor this increase in volalitity is meaningless. for the active trader, this is an opportunity to make money.

Changing volatility and recalculating every quarter will give nightmares and a huge number of restatements all the time. Everybody will shy away from investing

they are not restatements, MSFT is recalculating the expense for that quarter.... as MSFT does every quarter already.... their two sets of books are not in chaos....

the only problem is that MSFT HAS two sets of books.... that is the problem....
