It all sort of boils (or broils ;) around Aserbaidjan and Turkmenistan and what's there deep below.

And re nuclear fuel - in terms of entropy it's pretty much the same problem as with gold´, just standing on the head:
a) there's a couple of ppm of Au everywhere you look, but it takes money to get it to 100%
b) there's 100+ tons of Pu just is US hands, put to (good - weapon grade) use. Not to talk about brothers in arms. It will take money to make it go away, down to a ppm or two, spread over the world.
